01What we use

This site sets cookies only through Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel, and only after you accept them in the cookie banner. The cookie banner sets one necessary cookie to remember your choice. Brevo sends the Ask Andre Market Update newsletter but sets no cookies on this site. Google Analytics measures traffic: how many people visit and which pages they read. Its cookies store a random ID that tells browsers apart. They do not store your name or contact details, and we do not use them to identify you personally. The Meta Pixel is covered in section 2.

02Meta Pixel

This site uses the Meta Pixel, a tracking tool from Meta (Facebook and Instagram). It records visits and actions on this site, such as viewing a page or submitting an enquiry form, and sends that information to Meta. We use it to measure how our Meta ads perform and to improve who sees them. The pixel belongs to the Meta advertising account of Trust Property, the agency Andre van Niekerk works through, so Trust Property can also see this data.

Meta can link this information to your Facebook or Instagram account if you are logged in, so unlike Google Analytics it is not anonymous. Meta processes the data under its own privacy policy, at facebook.com/privacy/policy, and may do so on servers outside South Africa.

03Your choices

You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. The site still works without them. Blocking the Google Analytics cookies means your visit is not counted. Blocking the Meta cookies stops the Meta Pixel from linking your visit to our ads. You can also manage how Meta uses your activity for ads in the ad settings of your Facebook or Instagram account.

If we add or remove a tool that uses cookies, we will update this notice. The date at the top shows the latest version.
